John Hagelin to Speak at Yoga
Expo in Los Angeles

Dr. John Hagelin

On September 26 in Los Angeles, Dr. John Hagelin, world-renowned quantum physicist, educator, and Natural Law Party 2000 presidential nominee, will give a featured presentation on “The Cosmos Within: The Scientific Discovery of Higher States of Consciousness” at the first annual Yoga Expo, to be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center at 1201 South Figueroa Street in Los Angeles.

The Yoga Expo will be the largest event of its kind ever held, with over 300 free seminars and workshops, 350 exhibitors, and an expected attendance of 50,000. Celebrating health, fitness, and well-being, the Expo aims to showcase the extraordinary growth of yoga in the Western world and the profound changes that this ancient, yet very modern health and fitness program can produce in every aspect of life. (See below for more information.)

Dr. Hagelin will give his groundbreaking presentation on Friday, September 26, at 6:00-7:30 p.m.

“We are witnessing a radical transformation in our understanding of human consciousness,” Dr. Hagelin said. “Profound developments in our scientific understanding of the universe, combined with remarkable new data on individual and collective consciousness, are forcing a thorough rethinking of the nature of consciousness, its true potential, and its fundamental role in the universe.

“While the attainment of higher states of consciousness has historically been considered rare and difficult, new research reveals that ‘enlightenment,’ the full development of human consciousness, is our birthright. The very structure of the human brain reveals that every individual is Cosmic—that living and experiencing the Ultimate Reality in higher states of consciousness is the spontaneous byproduct of the fully developed, balanced functioning of the brain.

“I will present groundbreaking research showing widespread experience of higher states of consciousness beyond waking, dreaming and sleeping. This research has brought a remarkable understanding of human potential, in which every human being is seen as a living embodiment of total natural law, and carries within his or her mind and body the vast organizing intelligence that governs the universe.

“This groundbreaking research also reveals the presence of long-range ‘field effects’ of consciousness generated through collective meditation. These field effects of consciousness provide a powerful tool for transforming collective consciousness, alleviating acute societal stress, violence and conflict, and thus providing a practical foundation for permanent world peace.”

If you live in or near Los Angeles, please join us for this very special presentation. And please encourage your family and friends in the area to attend as well. We look forward to seeing you at the Yoga Expo!
